Shim-pack MAqC-ODS I 150 mm L. × 4.6 mm I.D.Shim-pack MAqC-ODS
Shim-pack MAqC-ODS I reversed-phase columns are packed with a silica gel containing metal and bonded octadecylsilyl group. In addition to the hydrophobic characteristics of the ODS, the metal content also provides cation-exchange effects. This increases the retention of basic compounds. Therefore, this allows use with only a buffer solution as the mobile phase for analyses that previously required using an ion pair reagent and enables using gradient elution. These characteristics are especially beneficial for analyzing water soluble vitamins and pharmaceuticals that contain a large amount of basic compounds. * To use this column efficiently: 1) To increase the retention of basic compounds, please use a buffer solution within the pH 2 to 4 range. 2) In the case of a basic substance tailing, it may be possible to improve the peak shape by increasing the salt concentration of a buffer solution. 3) The elution of basic compounds is faster by increasing the salt concentration, and it is possible to adjust retention by salt concentration.

Shim-pack Scepter C4-300, 5um, 2.1x150Shim-pack Scepter
Shim-pack Scepter C4-300 is wide-pore organic silica hybrid reversed phase columns recommended for the separation of proteins such as monoclonal antibodies and mid-sized molecules such as oligonucleic acids and peptides that may not be retained on 100-120Å pore size columns due to size-exclusion effects. The organic silica hybrid base material is highly stable even at high temperatures under acidic and basic mobile phase conditions. Pore sizes are optimized for large molecular weight compounds and dispersed uniformly in the column, resulting in symmetrical peak shapes and increased resolution of antibodies and nucleic acids compared to a smaller pore size column. Shim-pack Scepter C4-300 is also effective for high-sensitivity LC/MS analysis, producing good peak shapes even under weak ionpairing conditions using a formic acid mobile phase Peptide Analysis Example Shim-pack Scepter C18-300 and C4-300 made with 300 Å (30 nm) pore size packing material. The larger pore size is recommended for the analysis of mid-sized and large-sized molecules with molecular weights above 5000 to enable retention and avoid size-exclusion effects. This analysis of a mixed sample of four different peptides and proteins demonstrated good peak shapes and favorable separation of insulin and ribonuclease A due to the pore size that was large enough to allow proper diffusion of these large molecular weight compounds.

Shim-pack Bio HIC Butyl, 4um, 4.6x100Shim-pack Bio
Shim-pack Bio HIC Column is a hydrophobic interaction chromatography (HIC) column packed with butyl bonded hydrophilic nonporous polymer particles (4 μm). HIC is suitable for the separation of anlaytes with slightly different hydrophobicity, such as antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) with different drug-antibody ratios (DAR). Shim-pack Bio HIC can be used for the analysis of DAR of ADC with relatively low pressure and high resolution. Need for DAR Analysis in ADCs ADCs consist of lysine and cysteine residues of a monoclonal antibody (mAb) and small-molecule drugs (Fig.1). However, since mAbs contain multiple amino acid residues involved in their binding, the mAbs are known to form heterogeneous ADCs with different binding numbers and binding sites. These heterogeneities can affect a drug's efficacy and safety, making analysis of the drug-antibody ratio (DAR) essential to determine the quality characteristics of ADCs. In addition, maintaining the distribution of DAR within a certain range enables quality assurance in ADC manufacturing. Excellent Reproducibility to Help Calculate DAR Reproducibility of area values obtained from repeat injections (n= 6) of cysteine-conjugated ADC samples and an example of an automated DAR calculation report are shown below. (DAR can be calculated automatically using LabSolutions DB/CS custom reporting.) The Shim-pack BIO HIC, developed for biopharmaceutical analysis, makes it possible to detect slight differences in hydrophobicity of small-molecule drugs and perform rapid DAR analysis with high resolution. Shim-pack Arata Peptide C18, 2.2um, 150mm x 2.0mmShim-pack Arata
Excellent Seperation Performance of Peptides Typically, in order to obtain good peak shape of peptides under reversed phase chromatography, TFA containing mobile phases are frequently used which the ion pairing effect is relatively strong. However, TFA could cause ion suppression in LC/MS(/MS) analysis. Excellent peak shape and separation performance for peptides could be achieved on the Shim-pack Arata LC column even under formic acid (weak ion paring acid) containing mobile phase conditions, which are suitable for LC/MS(/MS) without the use of typical ion pairing agents. Increased Assurance of Peptide Analysis ~ Shim-pack Arata Peptide C 18 column ~ In order to ensure lot-to-lot reproducibility in peptide analysis, each lot of Shim-pack Arata Peptide C18material is tested using a mixture of peptide standards in addition to the standard Shim-pack Arata C18 lot QCtest. This test is carried out under severe condition using 0.1 % formic acid mobile phase to help ensure consistent column performance for requirements of customers under regulated requirements.use of typical ion pairing agents. Excellent Seperation Performance of Peptides When analyzing peptides on a typical ODS column with 0.1% formic acid mobile phase, not only poor peak shape but also long equilibration time required to obtain stable retention times and area is a common problem. Shim-pack Arata Peptide C18 columns can be rapidly equilibrated even in 0.1% formic acid containing mobile phase, achieving excellent peak shape, stable retention andarea of peptides at the same time. Both columns were new columns (shipping solvent: acetonitrile) and equilibrated with mobile phase without any conditioning. Angiotensin I was analyzed after a certain period of equilibration and retention time, symmetry factor and area of Angiotensin I were compared. The typical ODS showed poor peak symmetry and unstable retention time even after 360 minutes of equilibration. In contrast, Shim-pack Arata peptide C18 already showed stable retention after 30 minutes of equilibration and excellent peak shape was obtained.

Shim-pack Arata C18, 5um, 250mm x 4.6mmShim-pack Arata
Unprecedented Resolution and Peak Shape of Basic Compounds Even for LC columns that claim to be designed for basic compounds, adequate resolution often can not be obtained due to problems such as leading of highly polar basic compounds, peak shape deterioration of acidic compounds, or long equilibration time required for low ionic strength acidic mobile phase. All of these issues have been solved with Shim-pack Arata that was specifically designed to give unmatched peak shape for basic compounds. Unmatched Peak Shape Elegantly Designed for A Wide Range of Compounds Unmatched peak shape of basic compounds could be achieved while maintaining good peak shape for acidic compounds with Shim-pack Arata LC columns. Even with low ionic strength acidic mobile phase, such as 0.1% formic acid containing mobile phase, excellent peak shape of both amitriptyline (a basic compound) and benzoic acid (an acidic compound) could be achieved. Shimadzu TOC CQ Vial, 40ml KitTOC.EPA Vials
Reliability Certified Quality (CQ) vial include a product certification. The vials are shipped with a certificate that certifies that the quantity of organic impurities leached into the vial is less than 10 μg C/L. CQ vial are pre-cleaned. This process prevents accidental contamination during cleaning, drying, or storage in the laboratory. CQ vial are sealed with a cap and septum and packed in a plastic box that inhibits dust or other matter. Download brochure here. Efficiency CQ vial are pre-cleaned. They can be used immediately after opening the box. Cleaning and drying operations are no longer needed. It also eliminates the need to carefully avoid contamination during storage. That means significantly less time and space are required for operations. Measurement Method A large thoroughly-cleaned glass bottle was filled with ultrapure water. That water was dispensed from the bottle into a vial and the TOC level was measured in both the bottle and vial. Using the bottle water measurement results as blank data, the quantity leached from the vial was determined by subtracting the blank measurement results from the vial measurement results. Leaching was evaluated in that way a total of six times, including three times for vials (reused vials) cleaned using a laboratory equipment cleaning machine and three times using CQ pre-cleaned vials. CQ vial were significantly more effective at inhibiting leaching than the vials cleaned in the cleaning machine. Therefore, the use of CQ vial should be considered not only by customers measuring pure water, but also by customers that want to avoid contamination during vial cleaning, drying, and storage, and customers looking to save the time and space required for cleaning, drying, and storing vials.

TORAST-H Glass Vial,150uL,Amber,BlackCap,with Slit,100TORAST-H Vial
Features Low adsorption vessels treated specially Minimized adsorption of bases, acids and neutrals Superior quality control TORAST -H Glass Technology eliminates the risk of adsorption to the glass surface of the vials Glass, the material of vials, contains metal oxides. Oxides of metals have a high ionizing tendency to be Si-O-M (metal silanolate), which may cause ionic adsorption with basic compounds in the sample. TORAST-H Glass Technology uses special processing to remove metals from the glass and suppress adsorption of basic compounds. Minimized adsorption of bases, acids & neutrals In general, giving a positive charge to the glass surface suppresses the adsorption of the basic compounds, but conversely, it causes the adsorption of the acidic compounds. TORAST-H Glass Vials minimize adsorption of both types of compounds. Low adsorption for long-term storage When a sample is stored in a general vial for a long time, the sample may adsorb into the surface of the vial, causing the reproducibility to be poor. The TORAST-H Glass Vial contains low adsorption characteristics that makes it excellent for long term sample storage.
