Leak tight to 15,000 psi (1034 bar). 0.2 µm stainless-steel frit in a stainless-steel body with PEEK ferrule To minimize extra column volume and maximize UHPLC sample throughput with SPE, SLE, or other sample preparation techniques, pair 1.8 μm Shim-pack Velox UHPLC columns with an Shim-pack Velox UHPLC Precolumn filter instead of a guard cartridge. Shim-pack Velox UHPLC filters are designed to be an affordable UHPLC precolumn filter with a total volume of less than 1 µL. These filters have minimal effect on efficiency with all UHPLC columns and systems and, when properly used, should not impact separations. In order to ensure that chromatographic performance is not affected, it is strongly recommended that the filter not be removed from the chromatography column until it will be replaced. Repeated installation of the same UltraShield filter in multiple columns and instruments may lead to diminished performance.
